Privacy policy
Last updated August 3, 2026
This policy explains the information used to sell, deliver, license, and support Kapwinder.
Information we process
- Purchase details such as name, email, order identifiers, price, currency, status, and refund status.
- License metadata such as a masked key, status, activation count, Mac label, instance identifier, and activation date.
- Customer portal session data, including email, session identifier, IP address, browser user agent, and security timestamps.
- Support messages and private diagnostic ZIPs you choose to provide, including app and macOS versions, redacted logs, recent errors, sanitized setting counts, and optional macOS crash reports.
Kapwinder’s website does not store your full license key, payment card number, or remote-server password. Kapwinder excludes license keys, passwords, file contents, full paths, filenames, server names, usernames, and saved credentials from its own diagnostic data. If you explicitly include an Apple crash report, that report is not redacted and may contain system details.
Why we use it
We use this information to complete purchases, deliver and validate licenses, enforce the two-Mac limit, provide secure sign-in, reset activations, prevent abuse, issue refunds, and answer support requests.
Service providers
Lemon Squeezy processes checkout and acts as merchant of record. Vercel hosts the website and private diagnostic bundles, Neon hosts its PostgreSQL data, Resend delivers sign-in and service emails, and GitHub hosts signed application releases. Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy commitments.
Retention and security
We retain purchase and license records for customer service, fraud prevention, tax, accounting, and legal obligations. Expired sessions and failed security records may be removed sooner. Diagnostic bundles are retained while needed to investigate the support request and should be deleted after resolution, subject to security and legal obligations. We use encrypted transport, private bundle storage, restricted credentials, hashed sign-in tokens, and masked license data, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information by emailing support@kapwinder.com. Some transaction records must be kept where law, tax, fraud-prevention, or contractual obligations require it.
